HBO is going ahead with production of the long awaited Perry Mason, authored by Erle Stanley, and for which Matthew Rhys joins as the protagonist. While there isn't a release date set by the studio, the show will be set in the 1930s, in Los Angeles, where criminal defense attorney, Perry Mason, finds himself at the helm of what could possibly be the case of the decade -- a child kidnapping gone wrong.
Joining Rhys, Chris Chalk plays the role of detective Paul Drake and Juliet Rylance as Mason's secretary Della Street.
